KRISTA means FUN, LOVE, PLAY, OPPORTUNITY <33.
KRISTA cares about environmental sustainability and financial and physical accessibility. Where possible, secondhand and/or local materials are sourced, lab grown gemstones are selected over mined natural stones and custom orders are preferred to minimise waste. All wearable items can be custom ordered in any size/length and don’t cost a pretty penny. KRISTA has a fine art degree wherein she built a practice based on naivety, play and ornamentation. Today she works primarily with sculpture, jewellery and apparel. All pieces are hand-made in Naarm on stolen Wurundjeri Country.
Founded by Jessica Jay, reparation studio offers a modern and creative approach to garment alterations, repairs, bespoke and sampling services on Karangahape Road, Tāmaki Makaurau.
anchored by a desire for less, reparation studio intends to keep clothing on the body, in the wardrobe and out of landfills.
inspired by the relationship between garment, wearer, and maker, reparation studio celebrates the sentimental, the well-loved and the imperfect in an industry consumed by newness.
