DESIGNER
Soft Ware Rugs is the Naarm (Melbourne) based project of India Grace.
Using self taught, hand tufting techniques, India creates rugs and soft artworks that feature bold design elements with a nod towards rave and dance culture.
With a focus on minimal waste and sustainability, all offcuts from her creative process are kept and repurposed as stuffing, to be used in Soft Ware’s soft sculptures with the excess distributed to other artists and designers.
As a business operating on stolen Wurundjeri land, Soft Ware is committed to paying the rent for the land on which they work and live.SIZE
